About us

The enchanting villa in neoclassicism style with numerous Art Nouveau elements is located in Dresden’s elegant residential area Blasewitz and has direct access to the Waldpark – a park area of 23 hectare with beautifully landscaped paths.

Guests of Villa Freisleben can experience a piece of Dresden city’s history. The prestigious villa with park-like garden was built by the architect Hans Paulick on behalf of the Freisleben family in 1916.

The second world war and Dresden’s night of bombing was without prejudice to the villa .

In the early nineties and under compliance of strict monument protection regulations, the building was sumptuously renovated by the former owner and opened as Aparthotel Villa Freisleben in 1994.

Numerous lovingly refurbished details in the interior and exterior of the villa, recall the fascinating architecture of the Art Nouveau. The stucco ceilings attract attention just as magically as the stained glass windows in the former music room. An Eye-catcher as well is the 90-year-old wall fountain of original MEISSNER ceramics in the lobby, which originally had its place on the first floor.

In the years 2010 to 2014, the villa has been restored in some areas by the present owner and upgraded technically and visually.

You can find these unique pearl of architecture of the early 20th Century in most books on Dresden’s villa architecture.
